Monday, while slow still brought us some key postseason implications!
In a really fun one, Columbia and Cornell had a shootout! Columbia won 90-86.
Ohio State/Nebraska was the highlight of the night, with Nebraska coming out on top to get the Q1 win. Absolutely elite game, both teams going back and forth down the stretch!
In key Southland action, McNeese won, proving they’re still the team to beat!
Rutgers pulled off an upset in a controversial finish leading to OT! I can honestly say that might have been the worst call I’ve seen. However, the team who got impacted negatively ended up winning.
Michigan State had a bit of a get-right game, beating USC by double digits in a game that was never close! USC’s resume is starting to look very shaky.
Tuesday Night will be ELECTRIC!
Tonight is Headlined by Duke/Louisville, Texas Tech/Houston and Georgia/Florida, but there are awesome matchups everywhere!
Georgia @ Florida | 7:00, SECN
This is a key matchup in not only the SEC race, but the NCAA Tournament picture. The winner of this one gets a Q1 win. The loser? A missed opportunity. Especially for UGA, they need a Q1 win on their resume and this is a great opportunity. Florida is currently favored by 9.5 at home.
Michigan @ Penn State | 7:00, FS1
Michigan favored by 24.5, does it even stay that close?
Duke @ Louisville | 7:00, ESPN
Monumental matchup for both teams. Duke has not looked great recently despite playing the worst of the ACC. They have won though, so that’s really all that matters. For Louisville? Since Mikel Brown has been hurt they don’t look the same, and Brown will not be back this evening. Duke is favored by 1.5 in what looks to be a toss-up.
Cincinnati @ West Virginia | 7:00, ESPN2
Feels like a bubble elimination game. Both teams are 0-1 and someone is leaving Morgantown 0-2 in the B12. WVU currently favored by 2.5.
St. Johns @ Butler | 7:00, Peacock
I will refer you all to the panic meter video I have linked below. SJU is desperate for a win here, but so is Butler! This will be an electric matchup in Indy. SJU favored by 4.5 currently, which is relatively surprising to me.
Syracuse @ Georgia Tech | 7:00, ACCN
Can Red and co turn things around? All of that talk can’t happen if they lose to Georgia Tech tonight in ATL. Important can’t lose matchup. Cuse favored by 3.5.
Western Michigan @ Miami (OH) | 7:00, ESPN+
Undefeated watch carries on! Miami favored by 12.5
Bowling Green @ Kent State | 7:00, ESPN+
Massive MACTION Matchup! Can Kent State keep pace with Miami? Bowling Green is looking to win and stay in close proximity to the leaders in the MAC standings right now!
Iowa @ Minnesota | 8:00, BTN
Trap city in Minnesota this year! Fresh off a big W over UCLA, can Iowa avoid a hangover? Minnesota is absolutely competitive and will put up a fight especially at home! Iowa favored by 6.5.
UCF @ Oklahoma State | 8:00, ESPN+
Much like we talked about with Iowa above, UCF is now facing a bit of a trap game, but OKST is much tougher. Oklahoma State is favored by 4.5 and that line feels right. I gave UCF credit in my bracket. Now, will they make me regret it?
George Washington @ Dayton | 8:00, CBSSN
If Dayton wants a chance at making the Dance as an at-large, this is a must win, this would be a solid win at home for the Flyers who are favored by 3.5. For GW, any hope of an at-large involves a win @ Dayton tonight.
Georgetown @ DePaul | 8:00, TruTV
This one should be close. Both teams have improved this year, and while it’s not a tournament level matchup, it should be good. Depaul favored by 2.5.
Texas Tech @ Houston | 9:00, FS1
I have given Houston credit this year despite being a bit underwhelming this year.if they don’t win this one, that leniency is gone and they will fall a good bit. Houston is coming in favored by 6.5!
Texas @ Tennessee | 9:00, ESPN2
Both teams coming off a loss, Tennessee remaining ranked, Texas currently a bubble, OUT team. This matchup is vital for both squads. Tennessee currently favored by 9.5!
TCU @ Kansas | 9:00, ESPN
Kansas is favored by 7.5 here.Despite TCU’s 11-3 record, I’m not a believer just yet. Going into Allen Fieldhouse is a damn near impossible venue to get a win, the key is being competitive and showing you belong. For KU, it’s time to make a statement. Peterson is back now and this could be a get-right game.
New Mexico @ Colorado State | 9:00, MWN
The MWC continues to deliver great matchups. Tonight is no different. This one in Fort Collins is huge! Both teams are playing solid ball, with UNM being the hotter of the two. If CSU loses, their path back to the MWC top tier gets very hard. If UNM wins, they’re 3-1 and in a great spot!
UCLA @ Wisconsin 9:00, Peacock
Both teams are coming off of disappointing losses to highly regarded teams. Which team can rebound from that disappointment and get a crucial win tonight? My vote is Wisconsin, but honestly I don’t know that they can score enough to get there.
NC State @ Boston College | 9:00, ACCN
Refer to the panic meter I mentioned earlier for SJU. The same video covers the Wolfpack. This matchup is a must win mainly because losing would be horrendous for the NCSU resume. Wolfpack favored by 13.5.
Texas A&M @ Auburn | 9:00, SECN
Auburn is favored by 6.5 here in a game that both teams really need. Bucky ball in College Station is impressive so far and this is the kind of win that could announce their presence formally. For Auburn, this is an opportunity to get a solid Q2 home win and really show that they’re improving ver the year!
UNLV @ Wyoming | 10:00, CBSSN
Wyoming has disappointed since starting MWC play while UNLV is 2-0! Feels like Wyoming’s season could get away from them if they’re not careful. For UNLV, all that matters is keeping stacking wins with hopes for a great seed n the MWC tournament!
San Diego State @ Nevada | 11:00, FS1
Nevada is favored by 1.5. Nevada also has an outside shot at and at-large birth, but has to win games like this, especially in Reno. Q2 Nevada and Q1 for SDSU! The winner of this is going to be extremely prevelant down the stretch when talking about bubble teams. SDSU’s resume would look solid with a win here.
