UConn is likely within 10-14 days of securing a bid to the NCAA Tournament. They look like a legitimate NCAA Championship contender!
Villanova is in very solid shape for a bid. The NonCon win over Wisconsin looks better today and they are 3-2 in Q1 games. Seton Hall has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the season. They are 2-2 in Q1 games including NonCon wins over Kansas St. and NCST. Huge opportunity at home against UConn this week.
St. John’s with their road wins over Creighton and Butler are trending back towards “good shape” territory! Butler on the other hand is trending towards “Fringe Bubble” territory with their 4-6 Q1-3 record. They have Xavier and Seton Hall on the road this week. They must win at least 1 of them. Creighton is close to the field, but I think the 17 point home loss to St. John’s is keeping them just on the outside looking in.
Xavier and Georgetown are off the page altogether. I don’t expect either team to make another appearance. I’m keeping an eye on Providence, but they have a long way to go!
